Music Workshops

Making Music Fun

Music Workshops

“A free music education was one of the glories of the UK when I was a child. Too much has been sacrificed in the name of economic necessity. Learning music is a birthright. And you have to start young”

Sir Simon Rattle

Working with children

We provide financial support to music teachers and others to run music workshops for children in the Rye and Hastings area who wouldn’t otherwise have access to music.

Working with parents, grandparents and others

There are many ways parents and children can interact musically. This often starts with the mother singing a lullaby to her baby. Singing to infants and toddlers not only instils bonding, but is vital for language development and improving physical and social skills. Many famous musicians attribute their musical development to the inspiration they received from their parents and others.

Help us build our team

We’d like to build our team and would particularly like to hear from musicians and teachers with vision and enthusiasm to introduce children to music and make it fun. We also welcome donations of instruments that could be used in our workshops. Email us

We can offer funding for one to one lessons either in person or online. We work with partners and signpost children to other services in the area.
