Music Workshops for children
A charity working to inspire children in East Sussex through music
Who we are
Our charity facilitates the delivery of free and fun Music Workshops for children aged 7-11 (KS2) in Hastings and Rye who don’t already have access to music.
We offer funding to experienced musicians, teachers and others who care passionately about the importance of music in children’s lives. Join our team.
The Music Workshops (usually run on Saturday mornings) provide a range of musical experiences including listening to music, introduction to musical instruments and exploring the voice. Our practitioners make them fun and accessible without an emphasis on classical music or achieving grades.
Exploring instruments

The workshops provide children with an opportunity to explore different instruments as well as their voices in a friendly way.
Exploring the voice

Experimental studies have shown the beneficial effects of individual singing sessions, in both small and large groups
Working with us

We encourage involvement from musicians, schools and parents to provide free access to music which is fun as well as educational.
Our Partners
We work with other local organisations so that we can signpost children to follow up services as well as offering grants for one to one and group sessions .
Why Music Matters
“Music is not just icing on the cake. It’s the cake itself. It’s human life.”
Stephen Hough
